Rodney FAQs
We want you to feel confident and informed before you join us. Below are answers to some of our most common questions.
If you need more information, our team is always happy to help.
How do I join Rodney Fitness Centre?
You can join quickly and easily via our members app. Simply choose the membership option that suits you, follow the steps to sign up, and you’ll be guided through what happens next. Our team is always on hand if you’d prefer help in person.
What does a Rodney Fitness Centre membership include?
All memberships include access to our modern gym space and a welcoming, supportive environment. Depending on the membership you choose, this may also include fitness classes, yoga or Pilates, group personal training sessions, inductions and consultations. Full details are clearly outlined for each membership level.
What is the difference between Group Personal Training and one-to-one Personal Training?
Both options are coach-led, structured and focused on safe, effective progression. Group personal training offers expert coaching in a small, motivating group setting, combining accountability with a social atmosphere. These sessions are tailored to your person requirements but are carried out with a maximum of 12 people at fixed times in the week.
One-to-one personal training provides fully personalised sessions with individual attention, tailored entirely to your goals, experience and pace. These sessions can be booked in at a time to suit you.
Both deliver professional guidance, confidence and results; the choice depends on how you prefer to train.
Can I add or bolt on personal training sessions to an Open Gym membership?
Yes. Open gym members can add personal training sessions to their membership, allowing you to benefit from extra coaching and support while maintaining the flexibility of a gym-based membership. Our team can help you choose the best option for your goals.
Do you offer gym inductions?
Absolutely. Gym inductions are included in all membership options to help you feel confident using the equipment safely and effectively. We’ll talk you through the space, demonstrate key movements and answer any questions, so you can train with reassurance from day one.
I’ve never been to a gym before. Is Rodney Fitness Centre suitable for me?
In a word, yes! You’re very welcome here. Rodney Fitness Centre is designed to be inclusive, supportive and beginner-friendly. Our coaches are experienced in working with people at all stages, and we focus on building confidence, comfort and progress at your pace in a positive, judgment-free environment.
